What is HuBuntu?
HuBuntu is a virtual production village: one place where producers, cast and crew, agents and funders work on a film or TV production together, from the first budget to the final pay run.
Who can use it?
Production companies and producers, freelance cast and crew, talent and crew agencies, and financiers or funders. Each gets their own account and only sees what they need.
Does HuBuntu handle my production's money?
No. Your production company pays everyone directly from its own bank account. HuBuntu prepares the checked and approved pay runs and the payment file for your bank.
Is my information safe?
Each person only sees what their role and access level allows. Bank account numbers are only ever shown masked, and personal information is handled in line with POPIA.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. HuBuntu works in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer, and you can add it to your phone's home screen like an app. Contracts are signed and check-ins done on the phone.
